THU Made In Rock SIOUX 50 is the plug-in based on the unique and finest emulation of the 1976 Marshall* JMP 2104* Master Volume 2x12" combo, belonged to the Siouxsie and the Banshees*.

The amp is currently part of the Made In Rock private collection, expanded in the last 20 years by acquiring amplifiers, effects, guitars and other items from the stages of glorious artists, like the Led Zeppelin, Keith Richards and David Gilmour.

STANDALONE AND EXPANSION PACK

It is both a THU expansion pack and a Standalone plugin, meaning that it can expand the model list of an existing THU installation, or it can also be purchased as self-contained pack which includes all the THU editing features, including the Rig Player, the Amp Tweaks, the Tuner and the Looper, with no need to have a pre-existing THU license.

THE HISTORY OF A LEGEND

The reference amplifier is a Marshall* JMP 2104 Master Volume Lead, 50W 2x12" combo, owned by the Siouxsie and the Banshees.

This is the first combo based on a Master Volume 2204 circuit, which has a lot of attack compared to subsequent circuit versions. It has two inputs instead of the 4 inputs of the previous Lead and Bass models.
This is the amp the band used in the tours and in the studio works between 1976 and 1981. It has been re-tolexed in red by Marshall.

EVERY TONAL AND EMOTIONAL DETAIL CAPTURED

The THU SIOUX 50 amp model is built using Overloud’s proprietary Fluid Modeling technology, ensuring unmatched realism while accurately capturing the full dynamic response of each knob.

Modeled after the first Master Volume circuit (2204), this amp delivers an aggressive and punchy tone that stands out from later revisions. While it has plenty of gain on tap, Siouxsie and the Banshees favored low-to-mid gain settings to take advantage of its exceptional transient attack and sharp articulation.

Sioux 50 amp

The built-in cabinet is fitted with two 12″ Celestion G12-65 T3054 15Ω speakers, which are a bit darker than the T3120 speakers mounted on subsequent revisions of this amp. It has been captured with 18 microphones with high resolution nonlinear IRs; thanks to Overloud Fluid Convolution you can place up to 4 microhpnes in the 3D space around the cab and blend them with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option adds the feeling of standing nearby the cabinet.

WHAT IS OVERLOUD FLUID CAPTURING?

Also called "schematic-assisted capturing", Overloud’s Fluid Capturing is an innovative amp simulation process that combines the advantages of both the modelling and capturing techniques.
An amp capture is a super realistic but static “picture” of the amp sampled with a particular knob setting and operating level. A single capture cannot replicate the amp tone at all the knob settings.
Instead, a modelled amp reacts like the original, at all dynamic ranges and knob positions. However tone may not 100% match a particular sample, due to component tolerances, tube conditions, servicing history and customizations.
With Fluid Capturing, we both model the amp and sample it with lot of different settings. Putting together these data allows us to create a digital model which is flexible like a modeled amp and realistic like a captured amp.
