Jensen Falcon 8 - Supercab IR Library
NEW! The official Jensen Fluid IR library based on the “Falcon 8” C8/30 FA 30W Ceramic speaker
Jensen Falcon 8 Fluid IR Library
This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Falcon 8, from the Jet series, installed in a custom-built 1x 8”, Open Back compact enclosure:
The Falcon 8 is a brand new model, the first 8” in the Jensen Jet Series. It retains the same tonal approach of the larger 10” and 12” Falcon models: a “bigger than life” tone, with a surprisingly powerful bass range, thanks to the seamed cone manufacturing technique. The midrange and top end are nicely balanced, with a sweetness in the treble side that is typical of the exclusive “green” membrane developed for the Falcon series. The Falcon 8 delivers a full-size rendition of the amplifier’s tone, with the immediacy and the detail that are classic virtues of the smaller speakers. Mic’ed up with any of the 18 classic microphones, in 16 positions each, the tried and true Overloud setup, the FA8 will transfer some truly big, bold and satisfying tones.

- use the IR in the software
- export the IRs in .wav, compatible with the software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers
FLUID IRs EXPLAINED
Fluid IRs are an advanced form of impulse responses that encapsulate more detailed sonic characteristics compared to traditional IRs. Unlike regular IRs that merely mimic a speaker's frequency response, Fluid IRs also reproduce the speaker's dynamic behavior and harmonics. This enhancement delivers a tone that is more robust, lifelike, and direct, with better management of the bass frequencies.
As of version 1.4.26, all cabinets in TH-U and all of the SuperCabinet libraries have been upgraded to include Fluid IRs, which are provided to users as a free update.
Additionally, users have the option to upload their own conventional IRs into TH-U, taking advantage of Overloud's proprietary Fluid IR technology. This technology utilizes an AI algorithm trained to transform your IRs by recreating their dynamic and harmonic responses.
Specifications
The library includes 304 Fluid IRs.
