NOT JUST A SPRING
Every spring reverb needs to be excited by a power amplifier, which increases the energy of the signal and causes the spring to vibrate. The power amp has an important role on the spring tone. When a tube amp is used, the spring acquire a more vintage flavor. If the tube is pushed into saturation, the reverb becomes harmonically richer.
All this process is emulated into SprinAge. Any spring model includes its build-in power amplifier an with the Drive knob you can control how much the amp is pushed into saturation.
