Vocs May 212 AlnBlue Fluid IR Library

Vocs May 212 AlnBlue is the Choptones Supercab IR Library created by capturing a Vox* "Brian May" signature AC30 1x12 with Celestion* Alnico Blue speakers.

It is an extensive and systematic capture created with 12 microphones, 8 to 16 positions each microphone and multiple Mic preamps, for more than 300 IRs globally.

The cabinet is straight front, open back, solid Birch construction, the Brian May signature AC30. The speaker, It will be nice to know that this speaker, voice of almost every British class A amplfier, started its life as a radio speaker, lately modified for electric guitar use. Warmth and mellow mids are its treadmark, a great choice for blues and clean tones.
Captures are performed with a motorized mic stand in order to have consistent measurements across libraries.

Fluid IR

FLUID IRs EXPLAINED

Fluid IRs are an advanced form of impulse responses that encapsulate more detailed sonic characteristics compared to traditional IRs. Unlike regular IRs that merely mimic a speaker's frequency response, Fluid IRs also reproduce the speaker's dynamic behavior and harmonics. This enhancement delivers a tone that is more robust, lifelike, and direct, with better management of the bass frequencies.

As of version 1.4.26, all cabinets in TH-U and all of the SuperCabinet libraries have been upgraded to include Fluid IRs, which are provided to users as a free update.

Additionally, users have the option to upload their own conventional IRs into TH-U, taking advantage of Overloud's proprietary Fluid IR technology. This technology utilizes an AI algorithm trained to transform your IRs by recreating their dynamic and harmonic responses.
