The Silverbird series speakers represent a new voicing approach in the Jensen range. Their tone, inspired by the Blackbird 40 Series, is optimized for the most contemporary music styles. They show a HD-like, detailed clarity, indispensable for great clean tones. The top end is carefully tailored to control the progressive, musical roll-off of the highest frequencies, and the spread of the upper harmonics. The mid-sized ceramic magnet grants the necessary tightness and punch for power chords and palm-muted rhythmic patterns, while allowing that right amount of “give”, for an easy and rewarding playing experience. All in all, the Silverbird 12 is a powerful and versatile tone machine, capable of a superb rendition of the high-gain tones, especially in large, closed back enclosures such as the classic 4x12 closed back and the 2x12 open and closed back custom built ones, captured with their trademark extended range of 18 mics, each in 16 different positions.

Made for the supercabinet

The library is created for the TH-U Supercabinet, which allows to:

  • graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • blend them together
  • craft new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode
  • use the IR in the software
  • export the IRs in .wav, compatible with the software IR loaders and all the major hardware modelers

Fluid IR

FLUID IRs EXPLAINED

Fluid IRs are an advanced form of impulse responses that encapsulate more detailed sonic characteristics compared to traditional IRs. Unlike regular IRs that merely mimic a speaker's frequency response, Fluid IRs also reproduce the speaker's dynamic behavior and harmonics. This enhancement delivers a tone that is more robust, lifelike, and direct, with better management of the bass frequencies.

As of version 1.4.26, all cabinets in TH-U and all of the SuperCabinet libraries have been upgraded to include Fluid IRs, which are provided to users as a free update.

Additionally, users have the option to upload their own conventional IRs into TH-U, taking advantage of Overloud's proprietary Fluid IR technology. This technology utilizes an AI algorithm trained to transform your IRs by recreating their dynamic and harmonic responses.

Every microphone has been moved to 4 different horizontal position (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone and Cone Edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each.

All the measurement set has been repeated for each one of the cabinet in the library.

All IRs have been phase aligned and they can be blended without phase cancellations.
